Life Model 13th February 2025

It was full house on Thursday for a very enjoyable life model drawing session held in the Assembly rooms.

Model Emilie adopted a variety of elegant poses, wearing a colourful patterned dress with a beaded necklace she stood whilst we began with a 15 minute warm up sketch, followed by a thirty minute draw with Emilie perched upon a high stool.

Following a welcomed tea break Emilie changed into a denim hotpant suit, hair in an upstyle and posed on her velvet stool for 10 mins, leaned against the fireplace for a further 10 mins, finishing perched on a chair for the final 30 minutes.

The time flew by as artists attempted to capture Emilie using a variety of media such as pencil, charcoal, pen and wash, pastel and watercolour. Emilie, the ultimate professional, held her poses beautifully in a room that was silent with everyone totally absorbed in their work, before we knew it, it was time to pack up and go home with our 5 sketches.
