DAS Saturday Plein Air Group - 17th August 2024, Wivenhoe

Members of the Dedham Art Society gathered at the charming town of Wivenhoe in Essex for a day of creativity and camaraderie. With the sun shining and the weather warm, it was the perfect day to capture the beauty of the local scenery.

We met at the Rose and Crown pub at 10am and it was wonderful to see such a strong turnout, with artists of all levels joining in to explore their artistic talents. After a quick catch up our members then set out to find the perfect views to draw and paint.

Whether working with watercolors, sketchpads, or oils, each member found their own unique perspective of Wivenhoe’s picturesque surroundings. The results were as varied and vibrant as the day itself, reflecting the diverse talents within our group.

After a few hours members reconvened, sharing their efforts and offering each other encouragement and support.
