Visiting Artist - Graham Webber

On Saturday a group of our Dedham Art Society members gathered for a plein air workshop with the talented artist Graham Webber, and what a fantastic day it was! We met by the picturesque River Stour in Dedham, right opposite the Boathouse Eatery, on a bright September morning. The scene was idyllic, with rowing boats moored along the jetty and the river glistening in the sunshine.

🎨 Graham kicked off with an impressive demonstration, showing us his approach to painting outdoors. In no time at all, he created a beautifully sketched painting, all while sharing invaluable tips with the group.

We even had some unexpected, curious guests—a herd of cows—who wandered over to inspect Graham’s work up close! Once they moved on, our members set to work, each creating their own unique pieces, inspired by the scenery and Graham’s guidance.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable and inspiring day, and we’re looking forward to more workshops with Graham in the future!
